What to Expect

The Chapel worship service provides a traditional style of worship with liturgy, hymns, and special music.  Held in the historic Holden Chapel, this service offers an opportunity to worship in an intimate setting.  Holy Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month.

The “Modern” worship service leans toward a contemporary style of worship, utilizing current worship songs and the occasional updated hymn or special music.  The overall atmosphere is generally more casual than the Traditional services, but feel free to come dressed in whatever you’re comfortable wearing to worship with us.  This service is held in the Sanctuary. Holy Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month.

The Traditional worship service provides a traditional (liturgical) style of worship including hymns, shared readings, and unison prayers, and is accompanied by a blend of piano and organ.  During the school year, the Chancel Choir provides special music each Sunday and the Steeplebells Handbell Choir provides music each third Sunday.  But just because it is a more traditional style of worship, feel free to come dressed in whatever you find to be comfortable for worship.  This service takes place in the Sanctuary and Holy Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month.

On Wednesday evenings, we gather around tables to share a meal that is “home cooked” in the church kitchen.  As dinner concludes, we share in singing and a brief message, then conclude with an important part of our time together which is sharing prayer concerns and praying together at the table.  The overall atmosphere is casual, and dinner church meets in the Activity Center.
