Spud Bowl!!!
Sunday, February 6 ~ 11 am—1 pm (Taylorsville Activity Center)
This year’s Spud Bowl will be held on Sunday, February 6 from 11 am to 1 pm in the Taylorsville Campus Activity Center.  Plan to join the youth for a lunch of baked potatoes (with all the toppings!), salad, desserts, and drinks.  An offering will be taken at the door.  Every year the Spud Bowl is an opportunity to enjoy a great lunch, spend time with friends, and support the youth as they raise funds for their summer mission trips.  All proceeds will go to Youth Missions.  Thank you for your support!

Brrr! It’s cold outside
Do you wrap your children up nice and warm before they go outside? Help all the children in Huber Heights stay warm this winter. From January 9 through February 7 at the Y, we are collecting clothing to be given to the Huber Heights Public Schools to distribute to children in need. Some children come to school without basic winter clothing. Please reach out to these children by donating mittens, gloves, hats, jackets, underwear or socks. Enable HH teachers and administrators to help HH children feel the warmth of God’s love through your warm gift. God bless you.

Collections for Haiti
The Haiti mission team will be collecting items for our upcoming mission trip in February.  Any donations would be greatly appreciated!  There will be a collection basket in the gathering area for the following items: adult vitamins and children’s vitamins, children’s Tylenol and Motrin (chewable or liquid), adult pain relievers (Tylenol, Motrin, Aleve, etc.), bandages and first aid creams and ointments, travel size soap and shampoo, soccer balls, little girls barrettes and hair ties, and prayers and love from Sulphur Grove!!! The people of Haiti and the mission team thank you!!!!

GRUB AT THE GROVE FREE COMMUNITY MEAL
Thursday, February 24 ~ 5-6:30 pm (Taylorsville Activity Center)
Come join us for a really fun evening filled with good food and special music performed by the Rhythm Ramblers. What a great combination! The menu includes a hearty ham and potato casserole, savory green beans, French bread, hot coffee, iced tea, lemonade, and freshly baked desserts. Combine that meal with some toe tapping melodies and you have a delightfully good time with friends and neighbors. Mark your calendar now and please continue to encourage anyone you know that is in need of a meal and/or fellowship with others to gather with us on the 24th.
Also, thank you to everyone who has helped at Grub at the Grove. Every month we ask for volunteers to assist in a number of areas and the response is always overwhelming. However, we are in special need in two areas: back-up operating the dishwasher and take down of the tables and chairs following the dinner. We do have some people helping but could use a few more. Please consider if you have any time available to serve in this way. Of course, all other areas are available as well, such as baking dessert, cooking, prepping, washing dishes, setting up, etc. If you would like to help or learn more about the many volunteer opportunities at Grub at the Grove, please contact Carol Tatone or sign up in the pew pads at Taylorsville.

Seeds for Fun and Food
As you curl up on the sofa with your seed catalogs imagining what new vegetables and flowers you'll try planting this spring, remember the unemployed and underserved in Southeast Ohio who plant gardens to supplement their groceries. Would you match each seed packet you purchase for yourself with a packet for Jackson Area Ministries? Last year the Ministry enlarged their garden space so that over 3,000 people planted their own gardens with seeds that had been donated by people like you and me. Sulphur Grove helped that happen by donating 522 packets in 2010. Beginning in February there will be a baskets in the gathering area and Y entry to collect your seed packets. Imagine youngsters having fun planting gardens then eating juicy red tomatoes and crunchy carrots for lunch. Instant fun and nutrition!! Thank you for remembering the children and families in the Jackson Areas.-Missions Committee

Wanted-devotionals to share
We need small, easy to tote-around devotionals to share with Oasis ladies.  They've been requesting other readings, and our donation dollars have to stretch a long way, so if any of you have things you've read, or access to stuff we could share, there will be a collection basket in the Taylorsville Gathering Area.  This will be an ongoing collection, so the basket will be there first and second week of each month.  Thank you for your generosity.  As always.—Linda Mattila
