Seeking Henderson Settlement Missionaries Sulphur Grove UMC will be sending a Work Team to Henderson Settlement April 25-May 1, 2010. We are looking for Work Team members from both the Y and Taylorsville campuses with a variety skills from some carpentry, plumbing and painting to perhaps working in the greenhouse or office. Henderson has been serving the needs of this Appalachian area of the Laurel Fork Valley since about 1925. It is a mission agency of the United Methodist Church within the Red Bird Mission District. The cost for the Henderson Settlement Mission will be $350-$375 that will include all costs except for our travel and meals on our “free day” (Wednesday). The application form can be downloaded and printed or can be obtained from the office or from Work Team Leader Kate Roberts (614-530-1950 or robe369@sbcglobal.net . A $200 deposit plus the signed application form is due by Nov. 30 with the final payment due Feb. 15, 2010.
