LIBRARY BOOK SALE
Sunday, February 6 ~ 9:45 am - 12:00 pm
At the December 2009 Church Council meeting a decision was voted upon to disband the current Church Library and make the space available for other uses.  The first step is to remove the books, CDs, etc.  For the Youth Group's service project this evening, they will box the books and place them in the Gathering Area.  Next Sunday check out the tables in the Gathering Area and take what you want and make a donation. The donations collected will go to the "Raise the Roof" campaign.  Thanks for your support!

Dan Held, and The Story of Scripture with Al Matts and Steve White.  Plan to join us for this exciting time of learning and fellowship.  If you have any questions, please contact Carly at 236-5970 or carly@sulphurgrove.org.

Toxic Speech ....is it New?
Sunday, February 13 ~ 7:00 pm (Taylorsville)
We are all painfully aware of the vicious language used in America today to express disagreement. How does the Bible help us recognize the difference between strong words and inaccurate descriptions? How should we separate our disagreement with a person's opinion from our demonization of their motives or patriotism? Join the Church & Society Ministry Team in a civil discussion of this Hot Topic at FaithWeaver's.

Seniors Luncheon
Tuesday, February 15 ~ 11:30 am (Taylorsville Activity Center)
Valentine's Day will have come and gone, but hearts will still be on our minds as our Seniors Group gathers for the February meeting. It will be a soup and salad carry-in.  Bring a crock pot of your favorite soup or a salad/dessert. (Always need lots of soups to chase away the winter chill!)  In keeping with Women's Heart Health Month, men and women alike may want to wear something red as Neil and Lori Clark inform us about the importance of being an organ and tissue donor at any age.  Being the ambassadors for Life Connection of Ohio, you will not want to miss their informative  presentation.  The hostesses will be Marie Nieffer and Judy Holt.  The greeter will be Donna Hollrah.   We will be looking for you!!!

Guide Book & Directory Advertising Opportunity
We have contracted Guide Book Publishing to publish a Guide Book & Directory for our congregation that will be updated and delivered directly to your homes annually. This book will be the Who, What, Where, When, Why and How of our Church. The book is being provided at no cost to our Church. Local businesses are being solicited to advertise in the book. If you own or manage a business and would like to find out about advertising in our book, please contact the church office at 236-5970 or office@sulphurgrove.org. Recent survey results by Guide Book Publishing show that 92.1% of families would rather patronize a Guide Book & Directory advertiser over a non-advertiser. It “will pay” to advertise in our new Guide Book & Directory.

Dr. Robert Walker, Executive Director of Wesley Community Center since 1973, will preach at both worship services at Taylorsville. Dr. Walker has announced his retirement later in 2011.
Wesley Community Center was established in 1966 by the Methodist Mission Society. Since then, it has served the needs of west Dayton residents through a variety of church and community partnerships.
Sulphur Grove values its partnership with Wesley Center and invites you to join us in supporting Dr. Walker and the ministries of the Center. A special mission offering for Wesley Center will be received on that day.
